Resaling used mattresses
I bought a mattress from JC penny in September, I didn't get it until December. It was a firm Serta. After 2 months, it started to sink in the middle and side. I called the up to tell them my problems. They took the mattress back but I had to pay a restock fee, which means someone else will buy my damaged one. I wanted the same brand mattress, because I was surei had just gotten a defective one in the beginning. I received my other mattress on April 1, yea. They but the Matt on my bed, it seems to be OK In the beginning, just like the first one. After 2 months, this bed did the same thing,so instead of calling them I decided to just turn the bed to the other end upon doing that, I found a rip in the bottom of the mattress, so I lift up the mattress, is was so dirty, they has given me a mattress that someone else had returned, then they want to charge me another restocking fee. Plus for a delivery fee. I will never a mattress from you all again. To be a large company like that and you won't stand up to your merchandises is sad. You give ppl 48 hrs to return.How do a customer know in 2 days there a problem.!

I like their dept store offer good…
I like their dept store offer good customer service. When I go in and need help their staff help me with a damage coffee machine and they give me replacement so I can get a working one. I will shop with them again for sure.

JcP credit card limits your number of payments and doesn’t disclose it
Nut shell: As a customer, I made TOO many payments within a month, so they put a HOLD on my payments made, and I am out the money at the bank and have no access to the funds thru the credit card. Nice. I made a payment on my J.C.Penney MasterCard last week. The payment did NOT post thru my account so I made another payment over the weekend, which also did not post to my account. I HAD to pay my weekly, temporary lodging bill, so I WALKED in a payment. Now, it is Thursday of the next week, these previous payments ARE STILL NOT SHOWING on my credit card. Why? Ms. Cherish, an account manager just informed me that they had put a HOLD(?!?) on my payments, which I am ALSO getting to pay an overdraft fee to the bank for. I am terribly sorry that my schedule of when I get paid, the charges that I MUST pay, and this institution’s “customers’ ethical payment practices” don’t align, I cannot help this situation. If they want me to do business elsewhere, their doing a fantastic job of suggesting it! Fellow consumers, that is a real situation doing business with this company and credit card. Please be extremely careful doing business with them!!

Didn't respect the prices I had on my shopping cart and they increased all the sales items
Today 6/23/23 I opened a JcPenney ad and reminder sent by email. I noticed they had toddler specials, so I decided to take advantage of the great deals, I also was ordering items with no deals business I had a coupon that was mailed out to me, I was using that coupon for those items that qualify for the coupon. Once I entered the coupon code 3 of the items thar were on sale went from $4.99 or $5.99 to $12.99 or more, so I decided to start a chat since the system always offers to start a chat if we have a concern, I share my concern and the chat person kept telling me to wait and to give him a moment, out of a sudden I checked back my shopping cart and they had already encreased all the prices! I asked the chat person the reason and he was acting like he didn't know what was going on and to give him my cart ID information, I went to my shopping cart again to try to find the ID # he was asking for and the system automatically took me back to the chat, I tried a few times. He stated he wasn't able to access my cart because I wasn't signed in to my account, I went ahead and signed in hoping to see the sale prices I was getting from the beginning, and the only reason I reached out to them was to avoid placing 2 orders and had to pay the shipping. Instead of them apologizing for their system glitch and thanking me because of me they noticed there was an error in the system with prices and deals they pretend they didn't know and said they weren't able to help me and respect the prices I was getting at the beginning. The chat person asked to call the customer service number, I called right away and they were worse. So it is very ridiculous and negligence from there part not being able to assist in the proper manner a good customer from years. Will never recommend and hopefully don't have to buy from theme again.

Jaime was the sweetest during checkout
Jaime was the sweetest during checkout! She made sure I had what I needed. She recommended me going on JCPenney’s website to use a coupon so that I could save more on my purchase! I love a good bargain! I’ll definitely be back to get more of those $8.99 men polos! Nice deal.

Why is it that every time I see your adds on TV it's all black or Mexican people. I'm white and live in Texas and this is the united States, not Mexico.

Barb was a cashier at JCPenney's. She opened my charge account and was very thorough & patient. Explained everything completely. Barb should be recognized for her professionalism and courtesy!

It is so frustrating to want to use…
It is so frustrating to want to use their app. They have great deals and I really love to shop from them, but, their online app is the worst. Especially the last couple of months. Are they trying to dissuade people from shopping through their app?

I spoke with three customer service…
I spoke with three customer service reps this morning, one being a manager, and none of them helped at all. I’ve been a jcp customer my whole life, but this is causing me to never want to shop there again. I placed an online order last night and realized first thing this morning that my old shipping address was listed in their system. I called to correct that since the order obviously has not shipped yet and all three of them told me I have to wait until it ships and then contact UPS…what?! They are passing the problem on to another company (and the burden on the customer) when this should be as easy as a click on a computer and entering a new address. Incredibly frustrated. The wrong address thing happened to me with Old Navy and they fixed it in one online message from me in about 10 seconds!
